Tuition

I am a dedicated and committed teacher of the saxophone, for all levels and ages of student. I pride myself on tailoring the lessons to the needs of each individual student. I am extremely passionate about teaching improvisation in a methodical way, that incorporates the development of great technical facility and accounts for a wide range of musical styles. 

As a teacher I have experience teaching in a wide range of settings:

·      I have 10 years of experience tutoring students of all abilities ranging from complete beginners to aspiring professionals, and all age ranges including adults. 

·      I have over 5 years' experience working within schools, as both an instrumental tutor and a band conductor, and thus I am well equipped to assist students in learning through their school band curriculum.

·      I have prepared students to successfully audition for the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.

·      I have prepared students for great success in AMEB exams. 

I am a professional and performing musician, trained primarily in jazz and improvised music, and have played in many venues and different groups across Sydney. I have performed with other prominent musicians, including Clayton Thomas, John Morrison, Peter Farrar, Jacques Emery.
